Embedded Youtube Video Not Visible

    I wrote a new post today and, for the first time, embedded a Youtube video. All worked well when I looked at the post this morning. Now, this evening, the youtube video is not visible on the post. It’s missing with both IE and Firefox, on both my machine and another on my local LAN, and on a friend’s machine connected to the internet via a different ISP.

    What might be happening? Any help is most appreciated.

    I recommend re-editing the post and re-insert the YouTube video via the YouTube short code method while your editor is in HTML view… → Videos » YouTube

    Thanks! I had followed those instructions before but wasn’t in Visual mode instead of HTML. (The instructions don’t say to be in HTML mode.) The insert process created that “Linkification” stuff. In HTML mode, the insert process just put the URL without the linkification.

    I don’t know why it worked when I checked this morning, but if this fixes it, I’ll just shrug and go on. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it still works tomorrow. I’ll post an update then and change the status if it is still working well.

    (Of course, I meant to say I was in Visual mode rather than HTML when I initially inserted the link.)

    Hello: guyscharf, is the video showing up for you okay now ? when I visited the link you provided I saw the video with no problems… putting the link while still in visual mode was probably the culprit that caused the issue with the video disappearing on your post…
